Graveside services will be conducted in Sand Hill Cemetery Thursday at 4 pm. Friends may call at his home until the hour of services.
Mr Mixson was born in Hampton County, son of the late Jesse W and Mary Tuten Mixson. He was a member of American Legion Post 108 of Hampton.
Survivors besides his widow are four sons, James H Mixson of Charlotte, NC, Thomas Mixson of Varnville, Clyde I Mixson of Walterboro, SC, and Madison Mixson of New Orleans, four daughters, Mrs Fred Adams and Miss Carolyn Mixson, both of Varnville, Mrs M R Peeples of Rock Hill, and Mrs Jim F Freeman of Early Branch; two brothers, E C Mixson of Meggetts, and E W Mixson of Jacksonville, Fla; two sisters, Mrs Claude Smith of Varnville and Mrs Joe Peeples of Jacksonville, Fla, and 14 grandchildren.
