Archie Lovelace, age 42, widower, crossed the US border on May 13, 1922 at Kingsgate, B.C. His permanent address was Clovis, California, and he was travelling to Peace River, Alberta, with the object of looking for a farm. He had US Citizenship, race, English. Birthplace looks like Beardale, Kanada, but difficult to read. Could be Kansas?
Auto Collides With Train
Charles H. Jarrett was killed outright, and Archibald Lovelace died a couple of hours later in the Red Deer Memorial Hospital, as the result of the car in which they were travelling colliding with the southbound passenger train about 3 miles south of Innisfail, just before noon on Saturday. Both men appear to have come from Clovis, California , and had been up land some 60 miles west of Edmonton. They were on their way south, and bought a supply of gasoline and oil at the Ford Garage here about 9 o'clock Saturday morning. Jarrett was an Oddfellow, and was buried in Innisfail by the Oddfellows of that town.

The Red Deer Advocate, May 26, 1922, page 1, states that Archie Lovelace "served in the US navy in the war."
