He lived as an outlaw and died like many do.
Senior Hells Angels member Zeljko ''Steve'' Mitrovic was farewelled at St Stefan's Serbian Orthodox Church, Rooty Hill, on Monday after being gunned down at his transport business last week.
More than 300 Hells Angels from around the country attended the funeral of the 45-year-old father of three, along with members from other clubs such as the Rebels and Red Devils.
Carried by a sidecar motorcycle, Mitrovic's coffin was then escorted by 50 motorcycles to Liverpool cemetery where he was buried in a Serbian family plot.
Mitrovic was remembered as a big, intelligent family man who always enjoyed a joke.
"He was the funniest guy, a really fun guy, he'd always be telling stories," one friend said.
But despite the fond memories the funeral was a who's who of Sydney's bikie underworld.
Among the mourners was the senior Hells Angels member Tom Baker, a close friend of the club's former president Derek Wainohu, who was absent. Both Mr Baker and Mr Wainohu were involved in the 2009 Sydney Airport brawl that ended with the killing of Anthony Zervas, a brother of a Hells Angels member, by a Comanchero bikie.
Also attending was Terry Polley. Mr Polley was jailed for firing a gun in a crowded Gold Coast kickboxing tournament during a massive brawl between Hells Angels and the rival Finks club in March 2006.
Police, who were present at the funeral, have not arrested anyone for the killing of Mitrovic despite having strong leads and CCTV footage of seven men who had turned up to the Wetherill Park business before the shooting.

The black car rolled into the Wetherill Park transport yard about 3.30pm. Twenty minutes later Zeljko "Steve" Mitrovic, a senior member of the Hells Angels, was shot dead.
What happened inside the two-storey logistics business on Tuesday was allegedly the climax of days of heated arguments between Mr Mitrovic and a business associate, Frank Bacic.
Police said seven men confronted Mr Mitrovic at the front of his business and began a fierce discussion that got out of hand. Mr Mitrovic went to his office thinking the row was over but three of the men followed to continue the stoush.
Minutes later one allegedly pulled a gun and shot Mr Mitrovic dead. A co-worker caught in crossfire was shot in the arm.
Fairfax Media understands the dispute was over an outstanding debt, which one source put at $200,000.
Police said Mr Bacic is wanted for questioning over his dealings with Mr Mitrovic. It remains unclear whether he was at the scene or if the group of men continued negotiations for the cash on his behalf. Police are not alleging Mr Bacic was the shooter or that he ordered the attack.
As rumours about the death circulate, one source said Mr Bacic owes a criminal gang a large sum of money and was pressuring Mr Mitrovic to settle the debt for him.
What is clear for police is that surveillance cameras in Mr Mitrovic's premises captured seven men walking into and leaving the yard. They are all wanted for questioning.
The acting Assistant Police Commissioner, Peter Cotter, has ruled out any links to bikie gangs.
"[We are looking at] the personal side of business or the personal side to his life," he said.
Mr Mitrovic, a married father of three, had been charged with seven others for a double murder in 1998.
olice said they were also looking at a dispute between Mr Mitrovic and a former business partner .
Fairfax understands the disagreement centres on a $400,000 Dural property the pair were going to buy. However, the deal soured and became a legal dispute.
Mr Alex has not returned calls.
A close friend of the Mitrovic family told Fairfax they were all still in shock.
"We're not all rushing out seeking answers," he said. "They'll be no witch-hunt."
It is not the first tragedy for the Mitrovic family.
The wife of Steve Mitrovic, Susan, lost her brother, Sasha Milenkovic, the Bandidos's sergeant-at-arms, when he was shot dead at Blackmarket Cafe in Chippendale in 1997.
