Justine S. Mann, Ph. D., 98, died peacefully in her sleep on May 23, 2014. She was Professor Emeritus at Georgia Southern University where she chaired the Department of Political Science for many years. She is survived by a daugther, Tarpley M. Long of Washington, DC and two sons, Timothy I. Mann of Columbia, Maryland, and Anthony V. Mann of Statesboro, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and her devoted caretaker Julia Byrd. A memorial service is planned for Washington, DC and Dr. Mann will be interred in Magnolia Cemetery in Meridian, MS.
