Interment was in Lockhart Cemetery, Dadeville.
Mr. Alvies is survived by his wife: Betty Sue Alvies, Dadeville; one son: Anthony Roy Alvies, Dadeville; two step-daughters: Stephanie Alvies and Dorothy Hutchins both of Dadeville; one brother: Henry Lewis Alvies, Dadeville; one sister: Mary Unice Cole, Bronx, NY: three sisters-in-law: Mary Lu Smart, Eva Mae Alvies and Gloria Alvies-Burns all of Dadeville; two brothers-in-law: Ruban Ferrell and James Morgan both of Dadeville; one special nephew, Oscar (Pokey) Alvies, Jr. two special nieces: Lois JeanAlvies and Patricia Alvies all of Dadeville; two good friends: Gerald Davis and Helen Brown both of Dadeville; three grandchildren: Shatoya Morgan and Latoria Boyd both of Dadeville and Sheridan Cross, Camp Hill; eight great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
