He was a retired carpenter and a member of the First Christian Church of Barnesville.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother.
His memory will be cherished by his wife, Mary Louise (Kemp) McEndree; daughters, Lova Pierce, Connie Burkhart, Ramona Swallie, Shirley Snyder, and Donna Lechuga; sons, Carl, Ansel, Harry, and Sherman; brothers, Earl, Clarence, Russell, Tom, Glenn, and Jerry; sisters, Edna Solman, Helen Mistovich, Mary Wentzel, and Ada McEndree; 21 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Campbell-Plumly Funeral Home in Barnesville, with Pastor William Worcester officiating.
