Reinhold Suko was born at Dorathuia, Russia, the son of Daniel and Susanna (Wutzke) Suko. He departed from Bremen, Germany, on December 28, 1902 and emigrated to the United States of America. Source: Alfred (ND) Centennial History book.

Funeral services were held in St. Paul's Evangelical United Brethren church for Reinhold Suko, 74, retired Jamestown farmer, who died of injuries received in an automobile accident at Medina. Burial was at Highland Home cemetery at Jamestown.

Mr. Suko was born in Russia on February 6, 1883, and came to the United States at the age of 21. He settled at Kulm. In 1905, he married Christina Obenaur and they homesteaded 11 miles south of Gackle until 1912, when they moved to a farm near Alfred. In 1947, they retired from farming and moved to Jamestown where Mrs. Suko died on May 29, 1949.

On October 25, 1949, he was married to Mrs. Fredricka Schauer at Jamestown and she died on August 24, 1955.

On March 22, 1956, he and Karlina Pupedis were married at Jamestown.

Survivors include his wife; 11 children, Mrs. John Gahner (Amelia) of Jud; Mrs. Gottfried Wagner (Bertha), Mrs. John Gomke (Ruth) and Samuel of Cleveland, North Dakota; Mrs. A. L. Rogers (Louise) of Newberg, Oregon; Gotthilf of Gackle; Mrs. Emil Reich (Rose) of Eldridge; Mrs. Gust Grenz (Dorothy) of Medina; Edwing of Alfred; Martin of Park Rapids, Minnesota; and Mrs. Ruben Hoff (Minnie) of Tripp, South Dakota; eleven step-children by his second marriage; 45 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
