*NOTE*
My father, Stephen Potter De Mallie, graduated Harvard and his minor was in Bridge. He was awarded his Ensign Commisson by and signed by James Vincent Forrestal.

As per my mom, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Harvey De Mallie, AAUW, OES, D.A.R. .

There was a man who worked in the same compamy as Stephen Potter DeMallie and one day he asked ( mky dad) Stephen Potter if he was a brother of Campbell, which he was and he told Steve, "Campbell was an awful nice guy, but he was not very smart". We never told Mother. That guy was summa cum laudae, by one hundreth of a percentage point.. and Stephen and I didn't think he was very smart, for Campbell paid part of his expenses and that guy probably did not have to contribute to his education. Ever been in a room where nearly everyone in the room had been to Harvard? When Campbell DeMallie, Junior was married, I was about the only one who had not been educated at Harvard.
