Carie Sneed Robinson,105, of Cherokee passed away peacefully on March 6, 2014 at the Tsali Care Center. The eldest of 10 children, Carie was born on July 18, 1908 to Cam and Minda Bradley Sneed. Carie retired as a Dietician at the Cherokee Indian Hospital, before that job, she had worked at the Soco Day School and owned a small gas station and cottages. She also was instrumental in helping her son get started in his motel business. Carie loved to fish, to sew and quilt, and travel with Tsali manor Seniors, she also enjoying working in her church. For the last years of her life Carie was a resident at Tsali Care Nursing Home where the staff added so much to her life and she loved them dearly.

Carie is preceded in death by her husband Winfield Nye Robinson who died in action during World War II;brothers, Ernest Sneed and Pat Sneed; sisters, Pokie Sneed, Claudia Sneed, Marie Maney and Winifred "Hooter" Tiger; grand-daughter Oosti Robinson Sneed.

Carie is survived by her son Nathan Robinson and wife Ginger; grandson Shawn Robinson and wife Chris; grandchildren, Jamey Queen, Joely Queen, McKenna Sneed, Maddox Sneed and Takoda Robinson; sisters, Virgina Dixon and Priscilla Cooper. Carie also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her.

A visitation will be held on March 8, 2014 from 6pm-9pm at Long House Funeral Home, the funeral service will be held on March 9, 2014 at the Cherokee Baptist Church starting at 3pm. Burial will follow at the Cam Sneed Cemetery, Pastor Percy Cunningham, Pastor James "Bo" Parris and Ray Kinsland will officiate.
