Actually born and died in Auchmithe.
This stone was erected by John Cargill resident in **town of Auchmithie in memory of Isobel B*** his spouse who departed this life 20.8.1743 aged 56y and Helen Cargill their daughter who departed this life 22.1.1743 at whose head this stone stands and for whom the said was designed before the ** death, they had also procured betwixt them besides the said Helen other 5 children John their 1st born and only surviving child at this present date and Robert who departed this life 29.5.1727 aged 16y. Agnes, James and Catharine who d. in infancy and are near this stone interred. John Cargill, Shipmaster in Auchmithy husband of Agnes Cargill d. at Arbroath 10.2.1776 aged 67y. Also David Cargill d.
