Vergel "Eddie" Meadors of Williamsburg, Kentucky departed this life on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at his home. He was 70 years, 10 months, and 10 days of age. He was born on December 28, 1941 in Whitley County, Kentucky to the late Ulas Meadors and Martha Gibson Canada. He is also preceded in death by his grandmother, Ethel Gibson; in-laws, William Finley and Dorothy Campbell; grandchildren, Bryan Wayne Bennett, Justin Edward and Tammy Michelle Meadors; daughter, Bertha Canada; son-in-law, Michael Harris; brothers, Darrell Canada, Carl Dean Canada, Bobby Ray Canada; sisters, Brenda Sue Canada, Mary Ethel Canada, and Linda Lou Canada. He was a deacon of the Sanders Creek Church of God and a former employee of Croley Funeral Home, McCreary County Funeral Home, and W. Bunch Trucking.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Campbell Meadors of Williamsburg, Kentucky; one son, Rev. Bill Meadors and wife Donna of Williamsburg, Kentucky; one daughter, Michelle Harris of Williamsburg, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, William Bennett and wife Jessica, Ashley Bennett, Rebekah Gregory and husband Anthony, Cody Meadors, Noah Meadors, Leah Byrns and husband Brian, and Brent Canada and wife Kayla; two great grandchildren, Isabella Gregory and Brentlee Canada; brothers, Eugene Canada (Rose) of McCreary County, Kentucky and Arnold Canada of Williamsburg, Kentucky; sisters, Jackie Phillips (Roy) and Patricia Meadows (Wayne) all of McCreary County, Kentucky; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

The Funeral Service was at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, November 11, 2012 at the Sanders Creek Church of God with Bro. Clay Canada and Rev. Bill Meadors officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Canadatown Cemetery.
