MOSES BLACK DEAD AFTER SIX MONTHS ILLNESS

Moses Black, a well known citizen of Mansfield, died between 10:30 and 11 o'clock Friday morning at the family residence, No. 55 Marion Ave. While Mr. Black had been ill for the last six months, and much of the time confined to the home, had been in much better spirits the past week, and the end came entirely unexpected by the family. Mr. Black had been troubled by an ailment of the nerves of the foot, and had returned only a short time since from the JOhn Hopkins Hospital at Baltimore, where he had been taking treatment.
The deceased was born in Ireland July 20, 1836. As a boy he came to this country with his parents and settled in the Zanesville vicinity, but after a few years removed to this city. Associated with J.F. Black under the firm of M &J H Black, he started in the dry goods business in 1858, and later for himself, continuing in this business until 1890, since which time he has been associated with the Ohio Brass Co.
He leaves a wife and three children; Mrs. William McE Weldon, and Frank B Black, president of the Ohio Brass Co, and Harry S Black, Secretary of the Ohio Brass Co.
Funeral services will be held at the home Monday afternoon, the Rev. Charles Lemoine, of the Congregational Church, of which the deceased was a member, in charge.
