George Baker
Born, Lanchester county, PA, February 6th 1762. Died in Monongahelia County. Virginia, June 27th 1844. Took oath of Allegiance July 18th 1778. Enlisted as private, Major Moore's company, first Pennsylvania regiment, 1780. His father, Peter Baker who came to America on ship "Loyal Judith" about 1740, settled in Lancaster County, and was also in the Revolutionary War.
George settled on Cheat Neck, Monongahelia County, afterthe war.
Married Elizabeth Norris.
