Mrs. Rud. Stenke, Sr. Funeral to be Friday
Funeral services for Mrs. Rud. Stenke, Sr., 68, who died at her home here at 1:10 p.m. Monday, will be held Friday afternoon from the Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment will be made in the Kimball Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Stenke had been ill for some time, suffering from cancer.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Stenke is survived by her 10 children. They are Fred, Louis, Rudolph, Martin and Mrs. Fred Oeltjenburns of this community; Mrs. Viggo Goldencrown of Monterey; Walter Stenke of Jackson; Mrs. Henry Elsing of Ellsworth, Wisc., and Mrs. Ralph Forstrom of Dunnell.
Born in Chicago in 1870, Mrs. Stenke married there in 1888. In 1895, the Stenkes moved to Minnesota, settling on a farm in Jackson county. Some years later they retired from active farm work and moved to their home here in Mountain Lake.
