Howard, Jean Riggs Carr, 91, died on November 25th at her home following a brief illness. After moving to Birmingham in 2010, she was an active member of Mountain Chapel UMC. She and her late husband Jimmie were long-time residents of Montgomery, retired from civil service at Maxwell AFB and active in Asbury UMC. Jean is survived by her daughter, Carol (Bob) Burt; step-children, Betty Howard Strickland and Sue (Art) VanCourt; grandchildren, Scott Plunkett and Kim (Nate) Dyrendal; brother, James (Iris) Riggs, and their children Sherry and Jamie (Becky) Riggs. Services will be at Leak-Memory Chapel in Montgomery, AL on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Tom Parish officating.
