My 3x great Grandfather "Eugenii" Owen Savage was born to Irish parents Hugh Savage and Catherine McCormick in Taunagh Parish, Tiraghrill, Barony, County Sligo, Ireland.
He was the oldest of six siblings: Michael, Catherine, Hugh, John and James, all born in Ireland.
He married Mary King 1811-1858 in Ireland.
They would emmigate to Scoaltand during the Irish famine settling near Holytown in Lanark.
They had seven children together: Hugh, Ann, John, Patrick, Bridget, Michael and Mariam, all born in Taunagh Parish, Tiraghrill, Barony, County Sligo, Ireland.
He died at the age of sixty-three and is laid to rest along side his wife Mary in Holtytown Churchyard.
