Mary married Owen Savage about 1829 in Ireland. They had seven children together: Hugh, Ann, John, Patrick, Bridget, Michael and Mariam, all born in Taunagh Parish, Tiraghrill, Barony, County Sligo, Ireland.
Mary and Owen would emmigrate to Scotland around the time of the Irish famine to Lanark, and settle around Holytown.
She died at the age of 47 and is laid to rest with Owen in Holytown Churchyard Cemetery.
