Marion Cooper, age 57 of Pine Knot, passed away on Friday August 26, 2011.
Funeral services were Monday at 4pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Warman officiating. Burial will follow in the Kidd Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6-9 at the funeral home.
He was born in Oneida, Tennessee on November 10, 1953. He is the son of Marion B. and Dessie Caddell Cooper of Pine Knot.He is preceded in death by a son, Chanlor Domonick Cooper, and a brother, Tony Cooper.
Survivors include his wife Rose Kidd Cooper of Pine Knot. Marion and Rose were married September 14, 1975. He has 2 sons, Marion Christopher Cooper and his wife Christine of Winfield, Tennessee and Chance Mitchell Cooper and his wife Tara of Stearns. There are 4 grandchildren, James, Kassie, Mack, Dylan and Lucas. There are 3 brothers, Bobby Cooper of Pine Knot, Ralph Cooper of Frankfort, KY and Earl Cooper of North Carolina. He has 4 sisters, Ora Mae Gray and Lillie Anderson, both of Corbin, KY, Mary Neal of Revelo and Carol Jones of Whitley City.
Marion had been a saw mill off bearer for Coy Taylor. He leaves a host of friends and family who will miss him.
