Aletha (Hill) Phillippi, 95, of Zionsville, passed away peacefully on Jan. 04, 2014. Aletha was born on March 24, 1918, in Zionsville, the daughter of Fred and Inez Hill. She worked and lived in Zionsville her entire life.

Aletha was a secretary at Pitman Moore (later Dow Chemical) and the Zionsville school corporation. She was a lifelong member of Zionsville United Methodist Church, and was active in the local chapter of Psi Iota Xi Philanthropic Sorority and the Zionsville Women's Club and the Eastern Star.

Her marriage to Carlton Phillippi covered more than a half century. He preceded her in death, as did her brother, Robert Hill, and youngest daughter, Carla Phillippi. She is survived by her daughters, Peggy (Thomas) Elzey and Roberta (John B.) Parks; grandchildren, John C. Parks and Laura (Christopher) Jackson; and great-grandson, Liam Jackson. Visitation is 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, at Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville, 105 W. Pine St., Zionsville. A funeral service is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the funeral home. At 2:50 p.m. there will be a Psi Iota Xi Sorority Service.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to either the Zionsville Auxiliary Chapter of Psi Iota Xi, 9375 Whitestown Road, Zionsville, IN 46077; or the Zionsville Lions Club, P.O. Box 252, Zionsville, IN 46077
