Clarence (Brother) Hughes Clarence (Brother) Hughes, 59, Pine Knot, died May 12 at his home Funeral services were held Sunday, May 14, at 2 p.m. at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church with the Revs. Leamon Perry and Allen Burk officiating. Burial was in Lower Cal Hill Cemetery He was born in McCreary County Jan 16, 1930, the son of the late Roland T Hughes and Mary Shipley Hughes. He was a retired truck driver and member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. He is preceded In death by his parents , two brothers , Raymond and Estil Hughes, and two sisters. Hazel Lay and Mary Ann Hughes Survivors include his wife, Thelma Louise Hughes, Pine Knot, whom he married March 17, 1951, one son, William Ray Hughes, and daughter-in-law, Brenda. Pine Knot; three grandchildren, Clarence Ray, Brian and Oscar, two brothers John J Hughes, Pine Knot, and Edward B illy Hughes, Jellico, Tenn ; tw o sisters, Ora Spradlin, P ine Knot, and Evelyn Bryant, Pine Knot. R.F Neal Funeral Chapel Inc. was in charge of arrangements
