Schelinger Jiří was born in the village Bousov , lying on the very borders of Bohemia and Moravia near Čáslavi . His father was a music teacher and so the son almost fell through music.

His first band , founded in elementary school and in which he played the guitar , the Nothing But Nothing . Later he performed in a bar band Ivo Trojanana Emerald . Then he started working as a guitarist and singer in a blues band The Happy Five . This , however, was leaving the engagement to Finland without J. Schelinger who accepted the offer Karel Šíp and became a member of his group Pharaoh . With that in 1972 he made his first big hit song Heaven. In 1973, the band then went František Ringo Čech , with whom in 1977 and toured with the band Smokie .

13 April 1981 under the previously unexplained circumstances bounces Schelinger from Bratislava's Old Bridge into the river Danube . His dead body was fished out of the water 7 May 1981 the colony Bodiky in the cadastral area of ​​Upper Bar . Because it was not alien proven fault , his death was concluded as an accident .
