Gileo P. DeMeio, 77, of 711 Gulf Lab Road, Harmar Township, died Monday (August 26, 1996) in the emergency room of St. Margaret Memorial Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born February 8, 1919, in Stoneboro, he lived in Harmar Township since 1941.
An Army Air Corps veteran, he served in the Pacific Theater.
Mr. DeMeio was owner and opertator of DeMeio Paint Contracting in Harmar.
He was a member of St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Springdale, and honorary member of the Knights of Columbus, New Kensington.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. David (Elizabeth) Pierce of Harmar and Mrs. Charles (Paulette) Starr of Bakerstown, Richland; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth (Fedoush) DeMeio, in 1994; his parents, Joseph and Theresa Devando DeMeio; two brothers, Silvio and Ernest DeMeio; and a sister, Eleanor DeMeio.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 tonight in CHESWICK at the Charles B. Jarvie funeral Home.
Christian Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Alphonsus Church.
Burial will follow in Deer Creek Cemetery, Harmar Township.
