Born in Campbell County, she was the daughter of Joseph Arthur and Sallie Drinkard Thompson. She was a member of College Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Boyce H. Tweedy, Mrs. Willie Taylor and Mrs. G. J. Reid, all of Lynchburg; and Mrs. Aubrey Jones of Arlington, two sons, Rayal E. Williams and C. Hubbard Williams, both of Lynchburg; three sisters, Mrs. Jessie Musick of Elizabethton, Tenn., Mrs. Joe Foster of Lynchburg and Mrs. Marvin Booth of Concord, two brothers, Hubbard Thompson and Fred Thompson both of Rustburg; 22 grandchildren and 28 gret grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Virginia Funeral Chapel with burial in Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence.
