He was born April 9, 1898, in Marengo, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carson Anthony. On Nov. 26, 1953, in Harvard, he married Dorothy A. Schiller, who survives.
Other survivors are two grandchildren; a great-grandchild and two brothers, Ace, Capron, and Lyle, Zepher Hills, Fla.
He was preceded in death by a son, two sisters and five brothers.
Mr. Anthony worked for a number of years for the State Highway Department.
The Rev. Raymond c. Shawl, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church, will conduct funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Pierce-Bier Funeral Home, with burial in McHenry County Memorial Park cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
