John Gordon the son of Daniel Jr. and Susannah Cecelia (Brown) Gordon. John was a farmer and cabinet maker. Purchased Foxes Ranges, near Foxville, Frederick County, MD., where they lived and raised his family. John married Margaret McClain 1831 in Sabillasville, Frederick County, Maryland the daughter of Joseph McClain and Susannah Goslin (Gossling)

Children:
(1) Caroline Gordon married Joseph Adam Brown and removed to Conway County, Arkansas.
(2) Daniel M. Gordon married Elizabeth Wolfe.
(3) Joseph S. Gordon married Anna M. Snider.
(4) Agnes Harriet Gordon married David Sumerset Wolf and removed to Arkansas.
(5) Catharine A. Gordon married John Wolf.
(6) Mary Ann Gordon married Hiram Alexander Wolf.
(7) Anna Maria Gordon died young.
(8) John A. Gordon Jr., married Susan A. Kline
(9) Martha Ellen Gordon married Ephraim Dallas Hauver.
(10) James Albert Gordon married Miranda Adeline Wolf, removed to Kansas.
(11) Infant child aged 17 months and 10 days
