It is with sincerest condolences and sadness that we notify you of the passing of President Emeritus Sister Barbara Ciarico, RSM. Many alumni and friends have had the privilege of meeting Sister Barbara during her tenure as college president (1988-1998.)
Sister Barbara had a profound love for and impact on Trocaire College as a teacher, administrator, president, and president emeritus. Sister worked tirelessly for the college, the mission and most importantly, the students we serve. Sister continued her donor relations ministry for Trocaire up until the last few years of her life.
Sister Barbara co-chaired Trocaire's first joint capital campaign, "Support Hope," with the Sisters of Mercy. The Support Hope Campaign made it possible for Trocaire to extend its message to the greater Buffalo community.
We ask that you extend your thoughts and prayers to Sister Barbara, her family, and her community, the Sisters of Mercy.
Funeral Arrangements: Wake: Monday, October 21, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 8 p.m. Wake: Tuesday, October 22, 2013 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Funeral Mass at 4 p.m.
