OBIT:
Carl Cooke, 70, died Friday at a local nursing home. He was born in Ellensburg, August 14, 1901 [August 11 SSDI] and farmed and worked for a number of ranchers in the valley, including Bar S and John Clerf, before retiring in 1962. He made his home at 1007 E. 8th.
Survivors include a brother, Ed Cooke of Ellensburg; two sisters Mrs. Susan Huss of Ellensburg and Mrs. M. M. Gillis of Kittitas, several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday, 2 p.m., Evenson's Chapel, the Rev. Craig Willis officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery.
