OBIT:

After a few days of cerebral meningitis, Manley Churchill, the 17-year-old son of Mrs. Nettie Churchill of South Cle Elum Street, died last night at the home of his sister, Mrs. Chester Cooke, near Thrall.

The young man had made preparations to start school Monday but not feeling at all well, decided to remain at home. Growing worse, a physician was called, who at first pronounced the disease as typhoid fever. Other symptoms were developed late and he grew dangerously ill, living only a few days.

Manley Churchill was born at Port Huron, Michigan, and came with his mother and his sister to Ellensburg six years ago. He has many friends here, having attended the city schools during that time. During the summer he has lived with his sister, Mrs. Chester Cooke, at whose house he was when taken ill.

The funeral will be held from the Christian Church at 2 p.m., Saturday, Rev. Crim officiating. Interment will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
