PONTIAC - Earl Heisner, 82, of 1011 W. Washington St., Pontiac, died at 4:36 p.m. Thursday (Feb. 7, 2002) at Veterans Affairs Hospital, Danville.

His graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Southside Cemetery, Pontiac, the Rev. Dan Harry officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at Duffy Funeral Home, Pontiac.

Memorials may be made to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 886 or a charity of the donor's choice.

He was born July 21, 1919, at Pontiac, the son of Henry and Anna May Sivill Heisner.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pontiac; American Legion Post 1941, La Grange; and VFW Post 886.

He served in the 10th Army Division from 1941 to 1945 in Europe, receiving three Bronze Stars.

He graduated from Pontiac High School; attended Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington; and graduated from Millikin University, Decatur, with a degree in political science.
