CLAYTON, N.M. - Celso Garcia, 88, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with P. Louis Montoya, deacon, officiating. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the church with the Rev. James McGowan, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors.

Mr. Garcia was born Sept. 8, 1916, in Albert. He was a deputy sheriff in Union County and worked for the Union County road department.

Survivors include three sons, Frank Garcia and Ted Garcia, both of Clayton, and Celso Garcia Jr. of Espanola; two daughters, Phyllis Sanchez of El Paso, Texas, and Ophelia Miera of Belen; a brother, Juan Garcia of Dimmitt; 20 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
