Mr. Charlie Tice, 68 of Old Lexington Road, passed away Wednesday September 11, 2013 at his home. He was born on July 26, 1945 in Richmond County, Georgia , son of John William, Sr. and Lillian Bugg Tice. He was a retired employee of the NC Department of Transportation, a US Navy veteran, and was a member of Lexwin Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his daughter Tracy Lanell Tice, and sisters Connie Pearson and Audrey Story. He was married to Bessie Elizabeth Betsy Ivie who also preceded him in death on September 4, 2009. Surviving are his daughters, Beth T. Cook and husband Ric of Winston- Salem, and Susan Renee Tice , sister, Brenda Reynolds and husband Charles of Grovetown , Georgia, brothers, Paul Tice and wife Barbara of Augusta, GA, and John Tice and wife Barbara of Greensboro; grandchildren, Audrianna Cook, Andruw Cook, and Josh Gregory. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 2:00 PM at Lexwin Baptist Church with Pastor Erick Goff officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at J. C. Green and Sons Funeral Home on Highway 109 in Wallburg. Online condolences may be made at www.jcgreenandsons.com
