She is survived by two daughters, Clarice and Linda, and their husbands, Darrell Bernsdorf and Steven Karpyak; three grandchildren, Tim Christianson, Jill Bernsdorf Nohr, and Anya Karpyak; nine great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her husband, Kermit; daughter Jean and her husband John Christianson; five grandchildren, and one great great grandson.
Elsie leaves behind a legacy of love. We will forever cherish the memory of her kind heart, her gentle spirit, her quiet strength, and her great faith. We take comfort knowing she is now home with her beloved Jesus. How blessed we were to have this special lady as our Mother, Gram, and Great Gram. We love you. Hugs and Kisses..

Elsie chose to have her ashes spread on the family homestead where she was born. Some were also buried at Pleasant View (Rose Hill Cemetery) in Norma, Renville County, ND, where her parents and brothers are buried. The first photo is of the stone placed at that cemetery as a memorial. Some of her ashes were also placed at the Bowbells cemetery with her husband, Kermit.
