The husband of Mary ( -- ) Cartwright and 44 years old, he was a brick tender for T B Martin, Contractor and living at 907 Short Vine Street, Nashville when someone shot him in the head on July 19, 1941: He died the same day at Nashville General Hospital and was buried four days later in Nashville National Cemetery.
