Mrs. Bell was secretary for the Zella Mae Moten and Sondra Scott Dance Studio and the chaplain of the Zellanetts Drill Team Parents Club. She was a 59-year member of the church and a member of its supply team. She was a member of the Jolly 12.
Her first husband, Bennie Moten , died in 1935. Her second husband, James A. Bell, died in 1979. A daughter, Zella Mae Moten Hunter, died Jan. 7, 1991. She was born in Boonville, Mo., and lived in Kansas City most of her life. Survivors include three granddaughters, Sondra Scott of the home and Katherine Greer and LaTasha Grayes of Kansas City; two grandsons, Dennis Greer and DuJung Grayes of Kansas City; and two great-grandchildren.
