Lawrence 0. Wilson, 59, Ovando, died Monday in a Missoula hospital. He was born March 6, 1916, in Keenes, Ill., and served 25 years as an Infantry officer with the Army in three major wars. After his retirement he owned and operated a cattle ranch in the Ovando area.

He married Patricia Morris Dec. 27, 1961, in Missoula. Mr. Wilson was a member of the Blackfoot Church in Ovando; the Montana Stockgrowers Association; Hellgate Lodge 383, BPOE, Hellgate Post 27, American Legion; the American National Cattleman's Association and was former president of the Blackfoot Valley Stockman's Association.

Survivors include his wife, Ovando; a daughter, Mrs. Diane Millican, Seattle; his father, Walter Wilson, Wayne City, III; two brothers, Walter Sarkesian, Wayne City, III., and Gary Wilson, Thousand Oaks, Calif,, and three sisters, Mrs. Alleta Morgan, Millstadt, III; Mrs. Jane Kane, Doraville, Ga., and Mrs. Vernelia Helmkamp, Collinsville, Ill.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 pm in the Squire-Simmons-Carr Rose Chapel with Rev. Robert Border officiating. Burial will be in the Ovando Cemetery with Hellgate Post 27, American Legion, providing an honor guard. Serving as pallbearers will be Eugene Copenhaver, Harold Jacobsen, Tom Barber, Vernon Bertelsen, Waldo Mathies and Karl Helms. Memorials may be made to the Blackfoot Church of Ovando or the charity of the donor's choice.
