Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 22, 2013 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anne Catholic Church honoring the life of Amy Landry Gaspard, 90, who died Friday, June 21, 2013 at Kaplan Healthcare Center.
She will be laid to rest at Greene Cemetery with Reverend Keith Landry officiating the services.
She is survived by her three sons, Raymond Gaspard of Maurice, Pervis Gaspard and his wife, Delores of Abbeville, and Willie Gaspard and his wife, Vendy of New Iberia; five daughters, Eve Adel Gaspard and her husband, Wilman of Abbeville, Mazie Ann Broussard and her husband, Norman of Youngsville, Beverly Boutte and her husband, Malcolm of Abbeville, Nelda Frederick and her husband, James of Abbeville, and Linda Miller and her husband, David of Abbeville; two brothers, Odeon Fontenot, Jr. and Doris Fontenot; thirty-four grandchildren; sixty-four great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gladue Gaspard; parents, Clovis Landry and the former Ida Primeaux; sons, Leroy Gaspard, Daniel Gaspard, Kenneth Gaspard; daughter, Amy Jane Gaspard; brothers, Howard Fontenot, Eddie Fontenot, and John Landry; and sisters, Amelia L. LeBlanc, Laurice Landry Gaspard, Agnes Gaspard Hargrave, and Azelie Gaspard LeMaire.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, June 21, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, June 22, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
