Civil War Union Soldier. He was mustered in as a Private in Company D, 7th New Jersey Volunteer Infantry on August 31, 1861. He then served until he was discharged due to disability at the United States Army General Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on October 14, 1862.

Henry (Heinrich)Behm was born 6 February 1843 in Germany. He was the husband of Pauline Kaiser. They married 8 December 1863 in Egg Harbor City. He was a basketmaker by trade. He and Pauline and their children moved to Atlantic City between 1873 and 1880 and he lived there until his death.
