Sister Mary Jolanta CSC, 80, died in Saint Mary's Convent Friday night following a long illness. She was born Helen Flowers (Kwjatkowski) in South Bend in 1884, receiving her early education at St. Hedwig School. She entered the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1901, receiving the habit that same year. She made her profession of vows in 1905. During her community life she was stationed on Fort Wayne and Plymouth; Austin, Texas; Columbus, Ohio; Alexandria, Va.; and since 1925 at St. Mary's Convent. Several nieces and nephews around South Bend are included among the survivors.

The requiem high mass will be offered at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto at St. Mary's campus with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus. Friends may call at the convent parlor.
