Gina Matherne Chiasson, 47, a native of Lockport, and resident of Thibodaux died at 4:20 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013.

Visitation will be from noon until funeral time Friday at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the cathedral.

She is survived by her husband, Guy Chiasson; son, Christian Danos; daughter, Bethany Danos; mother, Mary Ann Matherne; brothers, Toby Matherne and wife, Joanne, Rafe Matherne and wife, Wendy, and Dr. Heath Matherne and wife, Celeste; sister, Tara Matherne Doré and husband, Dean Doré; step-sons, Michael Chiasson and wife, Ethel, Erik Chiasson and Axl Chiasson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Matherne.
She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux.

In lieu of flowers or plants, memorial donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society .

Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
