DEC. 19, 1970, A Brownsville native, JAMES T. WESTCOAT, Jeannette, retired from the Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania, ending a 48 year career in the natural gas industry. He was the Jeannette-Irwin area manager for Columbia from 1955-1968, when he was promoted to the utility's district staff in Uniontown. An Army veteran of WWII, he participated in the D-Day invasion. He is past exalted ruler of the Brownsville Elks and a past officer in the Brownsville Odd Fellows Lodge. He is also a member of the Brownsville American Legion, the Masontown and Jeannette Rotary Clubs and the Jeannette Chamber of Commerce. He was honored at a retirement dinner, Oct. 20 in the Perryopolis Moose Lodge.
