Ms. Hettie C. Gilbert Jones of Old Town, passed away on November 20, 2003, in Gainesville. She was 82.
She was a lifetime resident of Dixie County. She retired from the Dixie County Clerk's Office after many years of service, and was a member of the Rock Sink Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Land E. Gilbert and Dexter Jones; a sister, Lovie Jones and a brother, Cauley Copeland.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Myrtice Copeland, Cross City; nephews, Cliff Copeland, Gainesville and Ray Jones, Perry; nieces, Margie Brown, DeLand, Willene Gay, Gainesville, Shandry Hembre, Crystal River, Sharon Ford, DeLand, and Nell Stutts, Jacksonville.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Nov. 24, at the Rock Sink Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Jake Cravey and Rev. Al LaRoe, followed by burial at the Rock Sink Cemetery.
Arrangements have been placed under the care of Rick Gooding Funeral Home, Cross Cit
