Mrs. Bertha Hintz, 84, formerly of 1116 N. 15th St.; died at St. Nicholas hospital Sunday evening following a prolonged illness. She was born in Kewaunee, Wi.; Sept. 24, 1875, a daughter of the late joseph and Barbara Baumgartner. her family later settled in Sheboygan where Mrs. Hintz attended school. She was married to Joseph Pelkofer, Jan. 9, 1897. Mr. Pelkofer preceded her in death in 1913 and on may 12, 1938 she was married to Herman Hintz. Mr. Hintz preceded her in death in 1954. Mrs. Hintz was a member of Lakeside Camp 1054, Royal Neighbors of America and of Friendship Circle of St. John's United Church of Christ. Survivors are two sons, Sidney and Eugene Pelkofer and a daughter, Mrs. Alfred (Mercedes) Dreps, all of Sheboygan; two stepsons, Elmer Hintz of Newington, Conn. and Roland Hintz of New Rochelle, N. Y.; a grandson, and two half- brothers, Paul Baumgartner of Sheboygan falls and Peter Baumgartner of Sheboygan. Five brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at the Ramm Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, the Rev. August Grollmus, pastor of St. John's United Church of Christ officiating. burial will be in wildwood cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4:00p.m. Tuesday. Members of Lakeside Camp 1054, Royal Neighbors of America will hold services at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
