"Lester Scott, 54, of 1347 King dr. died Tuesday at Barberton Citizens Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Scott was born in Parkersburg, W. Va., and was an Akron area resident 42 years. He worked at Goodrich and was a World War II veteran. He leaves his wife Elizabeth; son... daughter... brother William, Barberton; sisters Juanita Avant and Beulah Scott, both Akron; Grace Hanes and Mary Lou Tharp, both Greensburg, Clarice Bokman, Clinton; father, Thomas, Akron, and one grandchild. Services will be at 3 p. m. Friday at the Schermesser funeral home, where friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. Thursday and before the service Friday. Burial will be in Greensburg cemetery."
