Daniel Ansel was born in Canesville Ohio in 1833 and died in Oklahoma 12 November 1903, being 70 years of age.He was buried in the Stephens cemetery near Marquette Sunday, Rev. Smith officiating. The deceased and Wife and three children, Jesse, John and Etta came to Kansas in 1877 and lived just southeast of town for many years. The wife Sarah died in 1883 and was buried in the Stephens cemetery. In 1887 the family moved to Oklahoma where they have since resided. All the old settlers will regret to learn of the death of this pioneer.
