Emma Dioguardi, 96, of Patterson Township, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013, in her home.

Born Dec. 9, 1916, in Ellwood City, she is the daughter of the late Augusto and Eucheatta Pinello Ottaviani. A homemaker, she was a member of Christ the Divine Teacher Roman Catholic Church, Patterson Township, formerly a member of St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Parish, Rochester, and was a member of the Rochester B.P.O.E. Ladies Auxiliary No. 283.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlo Dioguardi, Sr., in 1967; two brothers, Andy and Phil Ottaviani, and one sister, Louise Ottaviani.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Ann A. and Robert F. Primo, The Villages, FL and Josephine C. and Robert D. Smith, Sr., Brighton Twp.; a son and daughter-in-law, Carl 'Dio' Jr. and Linda Dioguardi, Erie, PA; four grandchildren, Robert D. Smith, Jr. and his wife, Paula, Rochester Twp.; Sherri and Todd Wilks, Rochester Twp.; Renee and Bruce Herstine, Beaver and Jeannene and Jay Willow, Erie, PA; nine great-grandchildren, Tyler, Samantha, Sabrina, John, Nicholas, Christian, Ben, Emma, and Avery; one brother, Mario Ottaviani, Monaca; several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 349 Adams Street, Rochester. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in St,. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, Rochester Twp. Celebrating will be Father Bill Schwartz. Entombment will follow in the family's private mausoleum, Beaver Cemetery.

A Christian wake service will be held Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

The family wishes memorial contributions be made to the Beaver County Humane Society, Box 63, Monaca, PA 15061.

The family would like to thank Michelle Dobson, Emma's caregiver, for the care and comfort given to our mother.
