Jack Berry, age 79 died Saturday in the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
A native of Roan Mountain, he was the son of the late Samuel C. and Ial Burleson Berry. He was a member of Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church.
Mr. Berry was a retired machine operator at Bemberg. He was a member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 69, serving as scout master for 13 years.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Roselee Berry.
Survivors include; his wife, Mae E. Hyder Berry, two sons, Paul and Sam; three daughters, Lona Edwards, Mildred McKinney and Pauline Francis.
