Leroy Parrish
Graveside services for lifelong Seminole County resident Leroy J. Parrish are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Cummings Cemetery in Maud under the direction of Knight Funeral Home.
Rev. Carl Whitfield is to officiate the services.
Parrish died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001, at Seminole Medical Center at the age of 75.
He was born on May 21, 1925 in Bald Hill to Lowen Jackson Parrish and Ethel Maud (Cunningham) Parrish.
He married Ruth Parrish on June 6, 1956 in Shawnee.
Parrish was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was retired from Gulf Oil Company.
He is survived by his wife of the home; two sons, Jimmy Jordan and Johnny Jordan, both of Maud; one daughter, Carole VanMeter of Ada; one brother, Charley Parrish of Wilson; three sisters, Dorothy Springer of Seminole, and Eldean and Patricia of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
