He entered the service on July 8, 1777, at Tyringham, Massachusetts, and was discharged on July 27, 1777. He went on expedition to Kingsbury by order of General John Fellows. He is listed in the 1790, 1800 and 1810 Federal Censuses for Massachusetts as living in Berkshire County, Town of Alford.
