Mrs. Day was a homemaker and former Secretary-Treasurer of Shreveport Rental and Sales on Linwood Avenue, a family owned business.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Ida Perry; husband of 65 years, W. M. "Pete" Day, Sr., brothers, Woodrow Perry, Eugene Perry, Rab Perry; and sisters, Fon Byrd, Violet Riefstahl and Ludie Smith.
She is survived by two sons, Pete Day and wife, Linda of Doddridge, AR and Bill Day and wife, Angie of Haughton; grandchildren, Will Day of St. Louis, Perry Day of Baton Rouge and Molly Day of Haughton; great-grandchildren, William and Mara Day of St. Louis; sisters-in-law, Billie Jean Munnerlyn (Mrs. Mike) of Vivian, LA and Ruth Day (Mrs. Charlie D.) of Shreveport.
