FLORENCE TAYLOR JORDAN

Florence was named for her maternal grandmother, Florence Montgomery Cochran.
She was the daughter of Clifton and Lizzie Taylor,
the sister of John O Taylor,
the wife of Ted Jordan,
and the mother of Jack, Jill, and Peggy.
Mrs Jordan taught high school in Victoria Texas for many years.

SAN MARCOS - Florence Jordan, 76, of San Marcos, a former longtime Victoria teacher, died Friday in a San Marcos hospital.
She was born Feb. 27, 1907, in Lot, Texas.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Pennington Memorial Chapel in San Marcos; burial will be in San Marcos City Cemetery.
Surviving are two daughters, Peggy Leggitt of Martindale and Ima Elizabeth Reynolds of Houston; a son, Jack Clifton Jordan of San Antonio; a brother, John 0. Taylor of San Marcos; 13 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of usual remembrances, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
